Fear Con is an incredibly unique experience. My wife entered the inaugural Miss Fear Con pageant as Lydia Deetz and we had such an amazing time, she took 3rd place overall. I can't wait to see what they bring this year!

FearCon is awesome! The vampire circus was super fun, there was a bunch of really cool booths with a lot of cool stuff to buy. I loved the small little haunted houses that they had, they were super fun! I recommended coming here with the family. Dressing up and seeing all of the fun costumes was really cool. The family and I loved it.

Definitely could use improvement.

The vendors that were selling hand made items were great, and I loved supporting them by buying things. But it felt like at least a third of the vendors there had nothing to do with Halloween, horror, spooky, or dark things. I didn't come to a horror convention to buy shingles or insurance.

Having food trucks was an excellent idea. There was variety, and I enjoyed what I got!
Having pop-up, trailer-sized haunt "mazes" didn't seem like a great idea. They were too small to be much of anything.
If there were any panels, I didn't see/know anything about them. There was no event list being passed out or posted anywhere that I saw. I didn't see or hear about any special guests either.

The talent there was great though! The "freak show" guy did his thing well. The circus was awesome, and worth the $30 per person that we paid. (But there seemed to be an issue with the stage in the beginning. A floor board popped up in one of the acts, and it made us super nervous the rest of the show. )

Costume rules on the website made me nervous to attend at all. It vaguely stated "no devil symbols" and "no exposed body parts". My costume had occult symbols and showed basically all of my legs. It originally had more "spooky occult symbols" and showed my tummy as well, but I was worried that I would be kicked out. So I modified my outfit and didn't like how it looked as much.

Taking with some of the vendors, it seemed like there wasn't great communication from the people running the show. They didn't turn the lights on until the sun was going down, so it was very difficult to see the booths. It was also kind of chilly. Did they not want to run the heater?

I bought two-day passes, but I didn't feel the need to return the second day. I saw everything I wanted to the first day. I won't be returning if they run another year.

Our family Loves Fear Con! We've gone two years in a row and can't wait for next year. There's so much to do and see. We love the side show acts and attractions, like the evil juggling clowns and escape rooms. Also they have FREE pumpkin painting! We really love the Vampire Circus, it's a must see. Our whole family cosplays too and it's fun to see what everyone else is dressing up as. It's a great family event for all ages. We always feel welcome and comfortable.

Fear Con is always a delight to see what vendors they have found and brought that exemplify the season. This year's (2018) was definitely amazing for both content and a differing variety of vendor's. My only complaint is the venue that Fear Con was at and how far I ended up having to park as there isn't much convenient close parking.

This is our 3rd year going to Fear Con and the 3rd year Fear Con has been running. It gets better every year! Vampire Circus was amazing in 2017 and somehow managed to be even better this year! The vendors were great, the food trucks were so nice to have. The venue was okay, a little cramped in some areas. Freakmont street was fun. It was a beautiful weekend so it was nice to be able to go outside and eat and enjoy the performers. Inside the vendor building, it was too dark, it would have been nice to have the lights on because the natural light was not enough.

My only major complaint really is please stay open until midnight on Friday or open at 10am on Saturday because we ran out of time to do and see all the amazing shows, panels, performers, haunts, escape rooms and activities you had for us!

Thanks for another great year,
October 2019 can’t get here soon enough!

2016 Review: Fear Con was the best event I have ever been to. My good friends got the 4 of us passes for the weekend for my birthday. It was the best present and a fun way to celebrate my day with friends. We brought our kids back the next day to come play with us and buy lots of great merchandise! I might have to get a second job this year so that I can spend more money next year. The shirts and hoodies were amazing. The art was fantastic and the staff was wonderful! October can't get here soon enough!

This is one of the greatest events in the history of Utah. This is truly all about the spirit of Halloween and all the things that go bump in the night. I'm beyond excited for the next Fear Con! Great Event, Great Organizers, Great Vendors, Great New Halloween Tradition!
